Kenneth Anger

One of the most influential experimental filmmakers of the XX and XXI century, known for his hermetic symbolism and wide-ranging cultural references. His seminal piece Scorpio Rising (1963) is often considered an emblem of the American underground film of the 60s. During his extraordinary career spanning over six decades Anger produced almost forty short films subverting the ideas of beauty and myth and cementing his status of a counterculture icon.
