In the Theresienstadt ghetto of Czechoslovakia, the Nazis are preparing for a visit from the International Red Cross. In an attempt to cover up the real function of the ghetto, they draft in actors for a propaganda film which will show the community flourishing, hiding their oppression and the purpose nature of the ghetto as a holding place for Jews pending their extermination.
