This great value package collects 5 Yorgos Lanthimos films on DVD. Our selection includes:

Kinetta

The debut feature by Yorgos Lanthimos.

Experimental drama following the local police detective of a run-down coastal town as he enlists the help of a photographer and a hotel maid to try and get to the bottom of a series of murders.

Dogtooth

Greek psychodrama.

Mama (Michelle Valley) and Papa (Christos Stergioglou) have created a surreal self-styled utopia for their three children within their secluded compound walls. Completely shut off from the outside world, the now adult children have grown up with their own language, and believe that cats are man-eating predators, aeroplanes flying overhead are toys and small yellow flowers are zombies.

The family's domestic harmony is irrevocably disturbed when their father invites his colleague Christina (Anna Kalaitzidou) to service the sexual urges of the son (Hristos Passalis). Before long, the son and the two daughters (Aggeliki Papoulia and Mary Tsoni) are conducting a series of bizarre experiments with sex and violence, and their superficially constructed world of childhood innocence and fantasy threatens to come crashing down around them.

Alps

Psychological drama about a self-formed group of therapists who impersonate the recently deceased to help their clients through the grieving process. During the process, bereaved clients are given the chance to act out their feelings of love, anger or sexual frustration towards those they have lost. Aggeliki Papoulia stars as Monte Rosa, a lonely young nurse who starts working for the group for financial reasons, but becomes increasingly attached to the gratification of playing a role of substance in other people's lives.

The Lobster

Surreal sci-fi comedy drama starring Colin Farrell.

Set in a dystopian future where failure to find a partner is unacceptable, recently widowed David (Farrell) is given just 45 days to find a replacement partner. In line with the rules of The City, singletons are taken to The Hotel where they are forced to find a mate and those that fail to pair up are transformed into an animal of their choosing and sent into the surrounding woods.

Although David appears less desperate than some of his fellow guests to forge a new relationship, he tries his best to create a union with a fellow cynic (Angeliki Papoulia). But after his latest attempt at a relationship fails, David flees into the wilderness where he falls in love with a loner (Rachel Weisz).

The Killing of a Sacred Deer

Colin Farrell and Nicole Kidman star in this horror drama.

Steven Murphy (Farrell) is a successful cardiac surgeon who lives a happy life with his ophthalmologist wife Anna (Kidman) and their two children Kim (Raffey Cassidy) and Bob (Sunny Suljic). However, his perfect life starts coming apart at the seams after he befriends 16-year-old Martin (Barry Keoghan). Steven spends much of his time hanging out alone with the teenager and also invites him round to his upper-class home to socialise with his kids. However, when Steven visits Martin and his mother (Alicia Silverstone) for dinner, the teenager's motives for their unusual friendship become clear and it transpires he's willing to go to great lengths to get what he wants, to the detriment of Steven and his family.
