Autobiographical drama written and directed by Chilean film-maker Alejandro Jodorowsky.
The film follows Jodorowsky (Adan Jodorowsky/Jeremías Herskovits) from his teenage years, where he longs to become a poet despite the objections of his oppressive father (Brontis Jodorowsky), to ingratiating himself into Chile's artistic scene at the bohemian Café Iris in downtown Santiago in the 1940s.
It's there that he befriends fellow poets including Enrique Lihn (Leandro Taub), Stella Díaz Varín (Pamela Flores) and Nicanor Parra (Felipe Ríos) and gives himself over to some wild new experiences while trying to find his place in the world.
