Markéta’s Notes (Loose Leaf File)

Markéta’s Notes is an artist publication by Holly Antrum from serial project (publication and film), based on archival research at the BFI.

Combining multiple voices, fictional researcher and matrilineal counterpart, Markéta Hašková compiles fragments of her research and leaves a trace of herself in viewing the archive. Contains hand facsimiles from the notebooks of film theorist, filmmaker and journalist, Peter Wollen. 

Commissioned for Laura Mulvey and Peter Wollen: Intersections in Theory Film and Art at Camera Austria, Graz, 11 June – 14 August 2022. Designed by Smiths Studio. 

Loose leaf unbound sheets in an external mint-green 330 gsm recycled card folder with black print, measuring 220 x 295 mm. 

Internal pieces, various sizes: 32 sides across 5 concertina pamphlets (80 gsm white and yellow recycled paper) + 1 double sided page. Black and blue ink.
