Czech filmmaker Jiří Weiss directs this moving love story about a Prague student, Pavel, (Ivan Mistrík), who hides a Jewish girl (Daniela Smutná) in his apartment attic during World War II.

Shot in beautiful black and white, the film examines the consequences of one man's act of love in the face of the brutality of Nazi hatred.
