Hay Petrie stars as the villainous Mr Quilp in this 1934 adaptation of Charles Dickens's classic novel.
Little Nell (Elaine Benson) lives in the antiques shop owned by her grandfather (Ben Webster). However, grandfather is heavily in debt to the money-lender, Mr Quilp (Petrie), who forecloses on all his loans when he discovers that grandfather has lost the money gambling.
Nell and her grandfather take off across the country in an attempt to evade Quilp, who follows close behind.
