Non-Fiction is a journal published by Open City Documentary Festival. The publication was launched in 2020 with the aim to create a space for considered, critical and creative writing on non-fiction, featuring contributions offered in response to moving image, audio or cross-media, both contemporary and historical.
Issue 01 was published as a print edition in Spring 2020 and collects twelve contributions on the theme of POWER.
The issue was edited by Matt Turner and includes contributions by Erisa Apantaku, Zane Balčus, Jenny Casas, Pamela Cohn, Greg de Cuir Jr., Adina Glickstein, Sander Hölsgens, Dylan Huw, Anjana Janardhan, Luke W. Moody, Miko Revereza, k8e sage, Stephanie Spray, and Maryam Tafakory.
The first issue is 90 pages, full colour and perfect bound, with design by Passport.
In 2021, Non-Fiction moved online in order to be more widely accessible. Non-Fiction #3 The Living Journalis edited by Olivier Marboeuf and Ana Vaz.
