Bill Forsyth (Gregory's Girl, Local Hero) directed this comic thriller, which begins when Glasgow DJ Alan (Bill Paterson), already frustrated by the sickly-sweet constraints of his radio show, loses his girlfriend. His life acquires new meaning when he finds himself mediating between ice-cream gangsters Mr Bunny and Mr McCool.
