Full colour A3 poster officially licensed from Universal to coincide with the release of Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey in cinemas.
This poster is part of an official print series with Universal Products & Experiences, inspired by Christopher Nolan's new mythic action epic "The Odyssey", based on Homer's foundational saga. The collection brings together a group of acclaimed artists working in the tradition of pop culture art, inspired by Nolan's film.
London based Illustrator Karl Fitzgerald designed this image of Odysseus and the Cyclops. He designs atmospheric posters for clients such as Lucas Film, Disney and Curzon Cinemas, as well as bands like the Foo Fighters and Nine Inch Nails. He specialises in creating screenprinted alternate movie posters, the images are created using a mixture of traditional and digital painting techniques. His work largely focuses on the environment of the film, and the relationship of the landscape to the character, as well as the moment of tension before the action. He uses lots of atmosphere, texture and loose, painterly brush strokes to keep the scene fresh and dynamic.
Offset printed in full colour on eggshell ultra-white 270 GSM paper. It’s premium heavyweight cardstock. The poster is A3 (297 x 420 mm).
