Odyssey Poster - Tom Whalen (A3)

Full colour A3 poster officially licensed from Universal to coincide with the release of Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey in cinemas.

This poster is part of an official print series with Universal Products & Experiences, inspired by Christopher Nolan's new mythic action epic "The Odyssey", based on Homer's foundational saga. The collection brings together a group of acclaimed artists working in the tradition of pop culture art, inspired by Nolan's film.

Tom Whalen is an American illustrator and designer who has created this image of Odysseus, Penelope, Telemachus, the ship and the Trojan horse. Inspired by his love of comic books and their artists as a child, Whalen went to university where he discovered an appreciation of the graphic design talent of Saul Bass, Milton Glaser and Jan Tschichold. Ever since, he consciously implements both illustration and graphic design elements equally. These elements and more have given Whalen a enduring career, nearing 20 years and given him the opportunity to work on projects for Disney, Lucasfilm, Paramount, Marvel Comics, DC Comics, The Misfits and The Beatles.

Offset printed in full colour on eggshell ultra-white 270 GSM paper. It’s premium heavyweight cardstock. The poster is A3 (297 x 420 mm).
